GMAT & Grad School

During the time of the Great Flood, Ryan and I were feverishly studying for the GMAT.  The GMAT is a standardized, computerized test that one must take to apply to graduate business programs.  Ryan and I both understand that an education is one of the most valuable assets one can have in his or her lifetime.  Therefore, we are very lucky to be able to try to advance our educations by pursing masters programs.

After a month of hard-core studying we took the exam on March 12.  The studying paid off and we both did very well!!!  Of course, the next step is to apply to graduate programs and cross our fingers that we get in!

Laura
I am applying to two MBA programs:  Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and University of St. Thomas Opus College of Business.  My decision will be between these two schools, if I get in.  Not too difficult!

Ryan
Ryan, on the other hand, has several options for graduate school.  He can do a dual degree program at UST  in Software Management and a Masters in Business Administration.  Or he can go to the University of Minnesota and get an MBA.  The cost would be similar between a U of M MBA and the dual degree at UST.  Both schools have different pros and cons and Ryan will have to choose between both fantastic options!!!

More to come as we explore this path in the next 2 months (Applications are due May 1).  We're both very excited to be advancing our careers and becoming students again!  If we get in to the schools of course....
